Cars could park in a semi-circle and be served by car hops – you can see uniformed waitresses taking orders or serving food to drivers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eBy the date, this must have been sometime in the 1940s because OPA prices were in force. The Office of Price Administration was established in 1942 to control prices during WW2.  Its powers also included rationing food items that were in short supply because of the war. It was disbanded in 1946 after the conflict ended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eUpdate thanks to Brian Lee Solar: \u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLocated at 1011 S Victory Blvd. in Burbank, CA. Operated as early as 1945. Busted that same year for passing off horse meat as a filet mignon. Fire damage in 1948. By 1952 it was operating under the name Skoby's Drive-in, and that lasted at least through 1957.
